ADAPAR [Domene/Pérez]

3: Öpik Transmission

ADAPAR 3: Öpik Transmission catapults listeners through a sonic wormhole, a dizzying journey into uncharted sonic dimensions. Guitarist-producer-composer Álvaro Domene and saxophonist-composer Álvaro Pérez reimagine material from their Zöbik-3 trio with a ferocity that transforms compositions from past live performances into a dense, metallic an ever-evolving fusion of turbulence and precision. Much more than just a retrospective, this bold and gritty exploration reconfigures their music into a super intense, immersive experience that feels as if it were forged in the deepest corners of space, as if these new arrangements were sent to us from a distant universe in which the music had kept developing in relation to the last time that this material was presented on stage in the Solar System.

Throughout the album, saxophones wail with visceral intensity while guitars erupt with fractal riffs that twist and fold in on themselves. Along with the drum programming and granular synthetic reshaping, their instruments lock into an electrifying synergy that thrives in its urgency and tension, shattering the boundaries of the material as they propel it forward, rebuilding said barriers on very much their own and new terms.
