Iluso Records is an independent record label founded in 2013 by Michael Caratti and Álvaro Domene.
Our catalogue focuses on exploratory creative new music derived and informed by the fertile traditions of jazz, avant-garde metal, free-improvisation, western contemporary classical, and experimental electronic music.

Domene and Pérez continue to showcase their impressive chemistry and mastery of pointillistic textures and counterpoint. However, this time their sound is augmented and enhanced by a new element: a drum computer-sampler operated by Domene, which was implemented in their STANDARDS release to great success. Its performance, sounding like a synthesis of classical percussion and the frenetic energy of improvisers like Han Bennink or Weasel Walter, serves as both anchor and disruptor, adding jittery urgency and challenging the listener’s sense of time.
You can FEEL the tension, which occasionally ebbs away, revealing moments of clarity. It’s this delicate dance between thought-provoking complexity and raw, visceral feelings that, in our view, makes ZODOS 4 such a captivating listen. Always moving, always evolving, and always ready to surprise you with something new.
